Well what a grotty day here in Cornwall, that orrible mizzly rain and windy, Lynne up the yard say's this is in for the week........ hope not, every where is so soggy, carries on much longer we will all end up with webbed feet....... still just have to Keep Dry and Carry On so to speak, anyhow, hope all ok were you are, after a soggy morning up at the yard, decided to pop in to Falmouth's Trago Mill's, to have a quick gander at the craft stuff...... did not browse for to long as I had the rabble in the truck, as you all know I have just started to stamp, so purchased this very pretty stamp, which you will see later, as I am going to make a card for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge and I thought this would be ideal....... also purchased some Papermania Fluid Metallic Brush Markers, dries with a metallic finish, don't know much about these as stamping is all new to me, has anybody used them........they do look pretty colours, so after I had finished in Trago Mills, I decided to stop at Gyllyngvase Beach to snap a couple of pixs, results are below.........

Hauntingly Beautiful..........

Good Morning All,
Yes I am early today, in work today, well, had a very busy weekend crafting pleased to say, I entered quite few card challenges, it's lovely to see all the different styles for each of the challenges, there really are some very talented crafters out there,  have done a fair bit of stamping this weekend, something I rarely do, and I must admit I am getting hooked, still have a fair bit to learn, like how much pressure to apply, and would like to learn how to mask an area, took me a few attempts to do a couple of the cards, and they are still not right, but I will persevere as I really do enjoy it, although are you supposed to get so much of the ink on your fingers, or is that because I am a messy crafter.......... anyhow, I took a couple of pixs of the moon this morning, as I thought it looked so hauntingly beautiful behind the tree in my garden.........

This one is a bit blurry

The Wind be a Blowing...................

Good Afternoon All,

Well it's a dry day here, but oh my it is very windy, and there are a few grey clouds appearing, so not sure how much longer the rain will stay away, after I had finished up at the yard this morning, I decided to go to the beach, to take some pixs of what I thought would be a rough sea, owing to the high winds, but I was very disappointed upon arrival at Portreath Beach, hardly any swell at all, even though it was very windy, but I did take a few shots of the not so rough sea......... the beach was nearly deserted, just a couple of people braving the elements and me snapping away, so returned home to hubby, who was out in the back garden to my surprise, tidying up a bit, so we both including rabble as well, started to sort a few things out, checking the drains for leaves and so forth, we were also able to get around the pond, which was great, so we cut a lot of bushes back, ready for the Spring, so all in all a productive morning, this afternoon I am going to do a bit more crafting, I have just started to get in to stamping, so I am going to have sort out of my inks and stamps, and hopefully enter a couple of more challenges, so whatever you all get up to this afternoon, have a great time and I will speak again soon........

All Gone.......

Afternoon Folks,

Well the Snow that arrived yesterday has departed....... not leaving a trace, it's as if it was not here at all, so sad that it is, not to see the pretty scenery, I am glad it has all gone myself, only caused problems when it was here...... so hopefully will not get anymore, anyhow I hope you are well and keeping warm, I have just lit the fire, although the snow has gone it is still chilly to say the least, had to take Toby to the vet's last night, upset tummy, £68.00 later he seems to be on the mend...... and it didn't seem to stop him charging around the fields like a lunatic this morning, still better to be safe than sorry, well needed to make a nice bright card, for a friend who is feeling a bit down at the moment, and she loves anything shabby, so I came up with this, white base card 360 gsm, a lovely scroll design paper from K & Co, which I cut then offset and overlaped on to the base card, leaving some white card showing in two corners, onto the white card I placed some pale and bright lemon Perfectly Pretty Petals by Crafters Companion, to hide the joins, I used some pretty lemon and silver lace ribbon, cut a bright lemon tag and placed a pale lemon flower peel off on to the tag, sentiment I printed from my computer, and edged it in a silver peel off, just hope she likes it......

It's Here........

Good Afternoon All,

Well woke this morning to a blanket of Snow....... Got up at about 02.20 this morning to use the loo, and it was eerily quite, and you just knew it had been snowing, let the rabble in to the garden, and there it was, went back to bed and informed hubby, all I got was a grunt...... so got up later in the morning, than I would normally have done, thinking that the roads would be a bit clearer, with traffic, and they were, until you hit Stithians........ and that is where it all went wrong..... now before I left hubby told me not to go that way, and stick to the main road, which is what I intended to do, but before I knew it I was in Stithians, you see this is the route I take all the time, so I must have been on auto pilot, and the road was like a sheet of ice, my truck which by the way is not a 4x4 , just looks like one, started to slip across the road, and I don't mean a nice wide road, this is a country lane with Cornish stone walls on either side.....and we ended up sideways, so managed to get straight again, and carried on, by this time I was so stressed I had a pounding headache, got a little further up the road and there was a van that had slid in to the side, I could not turn round, and just sat and waited, finally we were on the move again albeit slow, and my truck started to slide again, well  by this time I was crying, thinking I cannot do this, but I cannot turn round either, then I heard my dad in my head, saying you can do this, drop your truck in to a lower gear, my truck is also automatic, and just pump the brakes, to keep you slowing down, so I continued, the rabble were in the back and Smarty Pants was in the front seat, and I said to them all don't worry we are going to get to the stables in one piece, on a normal day the journey takes me 30 mins tops, this morning in took me two hours.......anyhow after a traumatic morning, we are safely home, so I have just had a coffee, going to do a few chores, and then hopefully, enter a couple of challenges....... even though this morning was not in the least bit enjoyable, the snow did look pretty, and the rabble loved it in the fields, you see this is the first time they have met snow, and it was funny to watch them, below are some pictures I took, once I had stopped shaking.........

I don't think we will escape the snow here in Cornwall, but you never know....... anyhow Lilian over on My Fun Time, gave me this wonderful site were you can print off free backing papers,Free Craft Downloads and it is great, have not had a chance to have a good look yet, work an all, but after today I have three day's of, so will have a good look then, also some great new challenges this week that I want to join in on, so I will be busy busy busy.......anyhow, I must love and leave you all, as have to get ready for work ( big sigh...) so stay safe and warm, and will speak again soon.

Cannot Unzip.......

Morning All,

Firstly I Would like to say a big thank you to three new followers on my blog, so Mau, Deb and Ardyth-Percy Robb thank you so much for joining me, Now this weather, here in Cornwall it is tipping it down with rain...... the roads are water logged, with puddles the size of lakes, oh alright a slight exaggeration, but they are big, anyhow, on a more gloomy note, back to work for the next three day's for me, would much rather be at home in my craft room, but I suppose I do need  an income to support my ever growing craft stash..... also I am in a bit of pickle at the moment, found this lovely site called Far Far Hill, and they are giving away free, yes free, lovely backing papers, well never one to miss an opportunity, I downloaded some last night, download went fine, but when I tried to print them out nothing...... what have I done wrong, if anybody out there could give me some advice, it would be great, I am okay at the easy stuff on my computer, but that's about as far as my computer knowledge goes, and the papers are mouth watering....... well that's about all I have time for, as I need to get ready for work, so hopefully God willing will talk to you all again briefly in the morning......By the way Congratulations to the winners of the Less is More Black and White Challenge, the cards are beautiful,

Will It Snow.................

Good Afternoon All,
Well I am waiting with trepidation as to weather we are going to get snow.......... today has been a very grey and chilly one so far, and I must admit at one point up at the yard, I thought we had a slight sleet, I don't mind the snow, but we never get it at Christmas, I cannot remember the last time we had a white Christmas, and it's never the same after, it looks pretty and all that, but things just come to a standstill here in Cornwall, as soon as we have even a flurry of snow you have the radio presenters, saying do not go out unless you have to...... It's snow for heaven's sake hardly an alien invasion..... and if the gritters, gritted the roads, well don't get me started on that one, please explain why I, and so many others pay road tax........ I was under the impression silly me, that it went towards things, like the upkeep of the roads, and gritting,  we do have the gritters out, and they do grit the main roads, but the side roads seem to be forgotten about, and never see any, how do they think people get there cars on to the main roads in the first place, hover........Oh well, I suppose some things will never change, anyhow, on a lighter note...... I would like to thank all the people, who have taken time out of there busy lives to leave comments on my blogs, I love reading them, and they are much appreciated, thank you, now if you are one of those kind people,  you will now that I am going to dabble in photography this year, so I have been snapping away at anything and everything at the moment, and the results are below, Also popped in to Camborn Town on the way back from the yard today, to go in to the pet shop to purchase some chews for the rabble, and right next door is a craft shop...... well you know what it's like when you are a crafter, you have to go in, so I purchased some card blanks, and some lovely patterned card stock, so I will endeavour to have a play around with it this afternoon, anyway must go as I have to light the fire, and the kettle has just boiled, speak again soon. Hope you like the pixs.........
