Any Sign of Summer Yet........

An Early Good Morning To You All.

Off to work soon, (sigh) but just wondered, if any of you have seen any sign of Summer yet......... after all we are in day two of British Summertime......... woke up this morning to another grey, windy and cold day here in Cornwall, anyhoo, hope the weather is not bad were you are...... well yesterday was spent in front of my computer, trying to sort out my E-bay shop...... hope fully Wednesday, I will start to upload pictures of the items that I have for sale...... I did not even have time to enter any challenges yesterday, still as my Dad used to say, you only get out of life what you work for....... so hopefully this will work out....... Oh well, it's of to work I go, so will speak again soon, take care and keep warm.......

A Bit of Beach Eye Candy for you Girls.......Hugh Jackman Phew......thought this might keep you  happy till the sun comes out.....

Ooopsie.......

Good Morning All,

Happy Easter....... did you get your Easter Eggs, I got one Easter Egg from Mummy.... and two bars of choccie from hubby,  so that's me happy...... well apart from all the boobs I make in life in general, I made three this week already, firstly I forgot to put my clocks back last night, as I expect so did others...... then I thought it was the the official start of Spring.......but found out it is actually the start of British Summertime....... hmm not sure about that at the mo...... and I also read the challenge rules wrong over on 52 ( Christmas ) Card Throwdown, and made an ATC, only to find out that they were excluded as well...... so I ended up making a bauble instead...... I must learn to read things and not just skim through, so today I arrived up at the yard later than norm, to find Ace, standing at the gate waiting to come in, rather impatiently I might add...... I'm sure if he could have spoke to me, he would of asked me what b......y time do you call this......so today I am going to do a bit more to my E-bay shop, and maybe enter another challenge......and in between, stopping to of course munch on my choccie......... so Happy Easter all and whatever your plans for today are have fun....

This is the ATC, I made for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown  yesterday..........only to find out I could not use it.

I Feel a Coffee coming on.........

Good Afternoon All,

Well it has been a lovely sunny day here in Cornwall........ but still very cold, we had a flurry of snow yesterday, but it did not amount to much thankfully...... well are we all looking forward to Easter weekend....do you have any plans or will you all be in front of the fire eating chocolate eggs,a bit like I will..... and also don't forget the clocks go forward...... which is supposed to be the start of Spring........ although according to the weather this cold spell is supposed to be lasting in to April......anyhoo, went over to my daughter Sarah's today, she is revising at the mo.....and as usual has left it all till the last minute.... you would think at her age (40) she would no better.......so she was sat on the floor of her lounge surrounded by books and paper..... she is studying to become a Theatre Practitioner, and attends Plymouth University, so had a coffee and a chat, then left her to study.....returned home, and I am now talking to you, well I'll be of as the kettle has just called, I feel a coffee coming on, below are a couple of pics I took on the way up to the stables this morning.....

This is the reflection of a beautiful red sun, that was shining over part of a frozen Stithians Lake this morning..

Hi All..........

Well, it's another bitter day here in Cornwall, did not stay long up at the stables this morning, Ace came in as snug as a bug, as he went out in Three Rugs, I now he is a horse, but I still like to think that he is not cold when he goes out overnight, so once Ace was happy in his stable munching, I took the rabble on to the fields for a run, well....... the wind it was freezing, and of course, I left my hat in the truck, so my ears were pretty dam cold when we returned, so finished up at the yard, and came home...... Hubby had put the washing out for me, (Bless him) so that was flapping away merrily on the line, then got a text from my mate at work to inform me, that it was Grace's birthday today, so I thought I had better make a card pretty dam sharpish, as Kath was coming round to collect it for me, so I used my Craft Artist, for the first time, and done the sweet little card below........

Morning All......

Just a Quick blog........ Off to work in a mo, hopefully for just a 12 hour shift....... well the weather here in Cornwall is grey and murky, thought I was going to wake up to a frost...... but nothing, the wind has dropped and I do believe it's not as chilly as yesterday...... hubby has the dreaded lurgy now....... but he has still gone up to the stables to sort Ace out for me, get a bit concerned when Brian (hubby) gets a cough as he is asthmatic, so hopefully he will start to feel better soon....... apart from that all is well, my weekend off this weekend coming so I will be doing some crafting, cannot wait to join in the the challenge over on Make My Monday   as I have a few ideas bouncing around my head, and believe me they can do a lot of bouncing, as there is so much room in it........so off to work, will speak again soon God willing, whatever you are doing today stay safe.........

Keep It Coming........

Good Afternoon All,

Well it's pretty chilly here in Cornwall, How's the weather were you are........ well this is going to be a very short blog today, as I am felling pretty dam tired, my own fault I hasten to add....... we have been pretty short staffed at work the last few day's, owing to a bug that has gone through the home, so not only  have the residents been unwell, but so have some of the staff,  well, me not wanting to see my work colleagues struggle...... decided to stay on at work yesterday, so what should have been a 12 hour shift, turned out to be a 22 hour shift........ I finished at 07.00 hrs this morning, so I am feeling a little worse for wear, so I would like to take this opportunity , to thank the people at Nescafe', as coffee was the only thing that kept me going...... so keep it coming. Speak again soon......

Crash, Bang Wallop.........

Good Afternoon All,

Well it was a grotty start to the day, but seem's to be brighting up a bit at the mo, well busy morning, went up the stables as per usual, took the rabble for a run in the fields, none of them were overly impressed as it was chucking it down......including me,  popped in to my daughter Teresa's again, for another coffee and a piece of my grand daughter's birthday cake, Morgan was 14 yesterday........ and she had saved me a piece of her cake, and I must say it was rather scrummy and went down very well....... returned home did a few chores and then settled down to do some crafting, entered a couple of challenges inkspirational challenges and casology.blogspot.co.uk , now I must tell you about this morning, I was up before hubby ( actually nothing new there ) and was in the bathroom, when all of a sudden I heard a lot of  banging and crashing, thought it was the rabble as they do tend to crash about the place upon awaking, shouted out for God's sake will you stop, only to find when I came out of the bathroom Hubby sprawled on the floor at the bottom of the stairs, arm up in the air holding on to something for dear life, obviously rushed to see if he was okay, which pleased to say he was, and to find the object that he was holding aloft was my art deco mug, helped hubby up of the floor, he still clutching my mug........ asked hubby if he was alright, to which he replied I am know that I now I saved your mug.......I had to admit it was rather impressive, hmm wonder if they have any vacancies in the England Cricket Team........
well that's all for now folk's, not sure if there will be any posts over the next few day's, as it is my weekend for working, but all have a great weekend and will speak again soon.........

Florence Nightingale.........

Good Evening All,

Well it's an awful day here in Cornwall today, pelting it down with rain and windy...... hope were ever you are it's not as bad, well not done much today, bit of a lazy day..... up most of the night, with one of my lab pups Chumleigh, not sure how he done it, but he must of twisted or pulled his back leg in the night, so I was playing Florence Nigthtinale, rubbed his leg in with horse, Arnica and Witch Hazel, then wrapped it up in vet wrap, which was bright pink, not sure he was overly impressed with that........ anyhoo he fell asleep laying on my lap on top of the bed, so needless to say that is the reason I had a rather rotten night...... had a lovely day yesterday..... went to visit my youngest daughter Teresa, had a coffee and a chat, then went out in the afternoon with my middle daughter Hazel, we went to Costa coffee, and then spent some money in Marks and Spencer, well I did........ popped in to my lovely Mum's this morning, glad to say her back is getting better...... then returned home, the only crafting I have done is an ATC card..... which I thoroughly enjoyed, I think I might get hooked, it is for a new challenge over on  wickedwednesdayatc76-spring-fever and that's about it, have nothing planned tomorrow so hopefully will get stuck in to some crafting........

Attempt at ATC.......

Good Afternoon All,

Well the weather in Cornwall today was sunny, bit chilly when the big yellow fellow in the sky, went behind the clouds, but all in all quite pleasant, well I returned home from the stables this morning, to find hubby surrounded by clothes.....yes clothes, not his, but mine...... got a bit panicky at first, thought I had arrived home to early, and hubby was playing dress up........ once I'd taken a few deep breaths in a brown paper bag.....hubby explained he was trying to sort out the mound of clothes that were piled high in the corner, before someone (hubby) was buried in an avalanche, never to be seen again..... I did try to reassure hubby that if he did go missing I would send out a search party after about a week, hubby did not find this amusing, I think his sense of humour was buried beneath the pile on the floor........anyhow, I left hubby to it and after about an hour or so, he had done a very good job, and I even found clothes I'd forgot I had, so virtually got a new wardrobe, once hubby had finished, I settled down to do a bit of crafting, I have always wanted to have a go at ATC cards, so I thought I would give it a whirl........below is a picture of the one I made,
Materials used,
I printed a design sheet form Debbie Moore's Shabby Chic Cd rom, on to a plain white card, then cut a rectangle, using my Cricut Machine I cut a mock hinge in a contrasting blue, I punched some flowers in the same blue and attached a pearl brad to the centre, the sentiment I printed off my computer on to a darker blue thin card, and then tore round the edges, to finish of I placed two tiny silk bows in a cream. Not sure if this the correct way to make an ATC, I but I did enjoy it.
