Good Afternoon Readers,
Well I went to bed this morning, at about 08.30 hrs, and the weather here in Cornwall was gloomy, woke up at 11.30, and yay the sun is shining, so I sat out in the garden with a coffee, bliss...... my night shift went without to much disturbance, from the residents that is, however..... there was some strange going's on last night, the Care Home I work in is a very old and beautiful building, and years ago was used as a convalescence home for the soldiers, although it has been modernised, it still has some of the original features, that are amazing, huge fireplaces, high ceilings, with ornate carvings, and of course creaky floorboards and doors...... the unit I work on is on the top floor of the home, and is probably the oldest part, and has an amazing staircase, that would not be out of place in Gone with the Wind , well myself and Mark, there are only two Care Staff on duty at night, on this floor, kept on hearing the floorboards creak, and a shuffling outside the office, when we went to see who it might be, no one was there, this happened on more than one occasion, then you would here the doors creak open, ( most of the bedroom doors are alarmed as it is a secure unit ) but still nobody....... it is not the first time this happened not only to us, but to other staff even in the day, they have heard a woman say hello, which is nothing out of the ordinary, except the unit I work on is all male......... so I am not sure was what going on last night, but I am glad I am not in tonight, spooky....... I entered the challenge over on 52cct.blogspot.may-sketch-challenge. outcome is below,

ReplyDeleteOh my what an interesting story. My son and I used to watch Ghost Hunters together. I love stuff like that and am a true believer - but I must admit that I don't know what I would do if I actually found myself in that situation rather than watching it on tv or reading about it :o)
ReplyDeleteReally pretty card - love your lantern and the shape of the image panel. Wonderful job with our sketch this week - thanks for joining us at 52CCCT! Hugs D
