It Must be The Weekend..........

Good Afternoon readers,

Well what a soggy day ........ must be the weekend, anyhoo what ya all been up to, have any of you gone to the sales...... I did pick up some Christmas Cards in the sale at Asda today, they had gone down to 99p for a pack of thirty...... bargain, oh, and I did go on to the Sport's Direct site and purchase my son Steveie's 

B Day pressie, his Birthday is the 17th Jan..... so that's sorted, are any of you making any New Year's resolutions this year, mine is to be more active inside and outside of the house ...... I need to give my Craft Studio a good sort out in the New Year, it's one of those things I keep putting off ....... I have sooo many ideas floating around in my head ...... the two new computer programes that hubby got me for Christmas will be playing a huge part..... I am also excited about my New Challenge Blog ...... my other two seem to be picking up which is good news, So I would like to thank all of you who participate in my challenges, and this morning I completed the sponsorship for all three of my blogs, they are all covered for 2014, so I would like to say a big Thank You for the kind sponsorship I have received, Lacy Sunshine played a huge part in sponsoring my challenges this year, and I am so grateful to them, and they have agreed to sponsor me again in 2014, on all three of my blogs.... It Wasn't an Ironing Board.......

Good Afternoon readers,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas........  I celebrated my Christmas Day yesterday, as I did not finish until Boxing Day morning..... my Christmas night shift was one from hell...... the staffing levels were appalling.....as staff had rung in supposedly sick.....and because it would have cost the 

company  too much money to get agency in,  we had to

cope .... so my fuse was running rather short.....what has happened to commitment, not only to the residents who depend on us to take care of them, but also to not letting your work colleagues down, I was brought up with very strong work ethics, and will not ring in willy nilly and feign sickness......yes there has been night's when I think I really do not want to go in to work especially in the Winter, when all I really want to do is to sit in front of a roaring fire.....but my conscious wont let me.....and don't get me started on those who claim benefits for a supposed condition...... a never work..... I will save that rant for another day.....and as the saying goes what goes around comes around..... however   I was rather touched by two of the day staff that kindly stayed on to help, I found out later that evening, that they had asked who was running the shift, and when they found out it was me, they both said they would stay on to help....which was very kind of them, so Kath ended up doing a 15 hour shift that day and Vicky a 14 hour shift.....of which I was extremely grateful to them.... On a brighter note...... for my regular reader's, you may remember Hubby passing a comment on my Christmas pressie being one that....I did not think I needed but I did, well I did, it turned out to be a huge screen for my computer..... it is amazing, I can see all the details around my Challenge Blogs and also my personal blog, and the colour's are so bright, don't how I have managed to be without it.... I had some wonderful presents from Family and Friends this year, they all have put so much thought in to them, it appears they have listened to me this past year and picked up on things that I have said I like.....or things that I need to get, I really am not a material person.... so it can be very difficult for people to buy anything for me, but this year they have all been so very kind and generous,   at the moment I am sitting in front of my computer wearing a onsie, it is turquoise blue with pink penguins all over it, which I got from my daughter Teresa, it is so comfortable.... I love it, so even though I am not surrounded with a house full of things, and don't have a huge bank balance, don't drive around in posh car.....I am rich with Family and True Friends, what more do I need..... the card below I made to say thank you to everyone for my beautiful and very thoughtful presents, one of which I used to make this card, it was another one of my pressies from hubby, right I'm off to put the kettle on, and see if I have any washing left on the line..... will speak to you all again soon....... God willing...

Good Morning Readers,
I hope you are well, and enjoying your weekend..... well I woke up this morning a little worse for wear...... a slight self inflicted hang over, I went out for a meal last night with a few friends from work, for our Christmas Meal, and slightly over did the G&Ts..... the meal and the company was lovely, it was a three course meal, that was served piping hot.....with a drink included for just £12.95,  we went to Weatherspoons in Camborne , and will certainly go there again next year, so needless to say I did not ride Ace this morning....... well I have delivered the last of  my Christmas Presents.... I only need to take a couple in to work on Monday, and then that's it I have finished...... I did pop in to P.A.N.T.S. this morning my fav charity shop, to buy the rabble some soft toy's for there Christmas Presents, I went in to Tesco's this morning, and had a look a there selection of Dog toy's and they wanted £5.00, for one soft dog toy...... now I know my rabble are worth it but come on, all they will do to it is shred it ...... so I picked up 6 soft toy's in Pants for £3.00, and the money is going to a good cause, I also picked 5 small box's, as crafter's do, for 50p each, to put away in the just in case area of my Craft room, and guess what, one of them was needed, I purchased some small bath bombs from the Body Shop for a friend at work, and they were in a plain white bag ......so below I have uploaded what I did to my plain 50p box...... well I am going to love and leave you all..... as I feel a strong black coffee coming on...

Good Afternoon reader's,

it's not a very nice day weather wise, in my little corner of Cornwall, we have even had some thunder this morning..... what's it like were you are... have all you all finished your Christmas Shopping yet ...... I thought I had , but I keep getting extra pressies from friends at work, because I have changed shift's and work on a different floor, I have made new friends along with my old ones, and they are buying me presents, yes I know it's very kind of them, and no you don't give to receive, but I can't do that, I have to give something in return..... so I will have to go a get a few more thing's in the morning.... but then it's nice to know, that I have a lot of friends who are thinking of me at this time of year, but I will suggest that we do a secret Santa next year ...... getting back to pressies, Hubby has informed me that my present from him this year , is something I don'd think I need but I do !!!!!!! Hmm, now I know I need a new ironing board, I hope that's not what I've got ...... I have racked my brains trying to think what it could be, but I keep coming back to the dreaded Ironing Board........ well not much longer to wait, the suspense is killing me ....... anyhoo, I have actually done a bit of crafting today, have loads more to do, but they have to stay under wraps for a while..... but this one I can show you all..... It is my Daughter Teresa and Hubbies Wedding Anniversary on Christmas Eve, and below is the card I have made for them, I hope they like it.......

Good Afternoon readers,

Hope you are all well, the weather today in my little corner of Cornwall, is pretty grotty, very windy and that orrible misty rain...... up with the lark's again this morning, to go up to the yard and sort Ace out..... needless to say he did not go in the field today ..... so I took him in to the indoor school, to stretch out his leg's and put him through some paces, and he was a very good boy indeed !!!!!!!!!  I then went and had a hot coffee with the girls, before departing to go and visit my Mum, and a very pleasant visit it was today, we had a chat over another coffee, I delivered her Chrissie present , as I am working over Christmas....... then returned home, Now have any of you been watching Kirsty Allsop's Christmas on TV ....... well I have, and she has made some pretty gorgeous items ....... so today, I had a go at making one of her pretty parcel Decorations, I had to make do with the ribbon, as I did not have the correct  sort, but I was pleased with the outcome...... and have decided to make some more, but I will go and get the correct sort of ribbon.... I already have plenty of beads ...... I then went in to the kitchen, to make my self some Slimming World Chutney.....Blackcurrant, Apple, Beetroot and Ginger flavour.....  for those of you who do not already know, I have been attending Slimming World for the past 13 weeks, 

and have lost 21½ pounds........ I am so pleased ...... just a few more pounds to go, before I am at my target weight.....and I intend to keep it of this time ......below is a picture of my Decoration, I hope you like it....I have added a link, in case any of you would like to have a go at making one..

Well I have just fell through the door....... worked last night, but yippee....... not back in again till next week, I had two day's annual leave to use up...... anyhoo what ya all been up to, I had a busy night last, after doing all the chores we have to do, we have a couple of hour's before we start again, so, I sorted out the themes for next year, for my three challenge blog's, and it is not easy ...... but I think I have most of it covered ..... and the DT on each of them, choose a theme once a month, so that helps, it's also nice to get involved with each other, after all we are a Team ........ there's nothing worse, than someone thinking they have the monopoly on things .......

Good Morning Crafter's,

Well it's lousy weather here in my little corner of Cornwall, wind and rain ...... just the right sort of weather to stay indoors and craft, which is what I have been doing a bit of this morning, as well as wrapping up last minute Christmas Pressies, I played Santa this morning as well, I delivered the pressies round to my son Stevie's, and had a long overdue cuddle with all of them.... we sat in front of a roaring fire, chatting and watching my ever growing grandson Jacob Simon, playing with the remote control to the telly, which he thought highly funny each time he switched channels ...... so I reluctantly pulled my self away from them all, to return home.......and as I was driving home, I thought how my children and grand children help make my life complete, and could not bare the thought of being without them in my life, and once indoors I switched on my computer to find,

Hope you are all well, and enjoying yourselves..... I had a really great morning yesterday, up the stables at Christmas, Anne the owner has games for the Livery yard, and the last couple of years we have had Gymkhanas, but this year we all had to do a Dressage Test ......... Hmm I thought, Ace is not the most well behaved boy, but I thought, hey it's Christmas let's have some fun, so we did, and I won my first rosette, yipee, I came fifth, which was great, we all had fun, and although I did have a small hicup with Ace, we did it...... after all the horses were wrapped up in there stables, the girls all went back in to the school and had mince pies and mulled wine...... so I left the yard on cloud nine, and popped in to my Mum's to show her my first Rosette, and for just a brief moment somebody who will remain nameless, tried to pop my bubble ....... I had a major row, with this person, and as we stood there shouting at one another, I began to feel quite sorry for him, as he has no real friends, and is turning in to a rather grumpy and bitter person, which is shame...... but hey ho such is life.....

I hope you are well ...... what you all been up to..... the weather here in my little corner of Cornwall has been quite mild, especially for the time of year, have you got your Christmas Decs up yet....all we have is a home made tree that I made out of branches that had fallen of the tree's in my garden, I sprayed them all silver, and placed them in a large tube decorated the tube with some green and silver tinsel and voila done, I then decorated it with tiny white fairy lights, and  hung some organza Christmas baubles on it, hubby liked it so much he has asked me to make one to go in our shop next year....  anyhoo back to the matter in hand, it's Tuesday and time for another fab challenge over at   Fan-Tastic Tuesday      were this week's challenge is add some sparkle, so why not pop on over and join in with the fun, we are being sponsored by the wonderful Digi Darla,

Good Afternoon Readers
I hope you are all well ...... how many of you are Christmas Shopping today ...... I popped in to Tesco's on the way up to the yard and it was packed ...... I was glad to escape, I did think at one point that we were under siege, and that supplies would be running out ....... anyhoo, had a great morning, the atmosphere up at the yard is great, Anne the owner has hooked up a sound system and there is Christmas music playing,  which can be heard around the yard..... so there is a lot of out of tune singing going on up there at the mo, me included ..... rode my friends horse Whisper this morning, as Julie has lost her nerve a bit, she owns a moody mare......but all went well ..... my boy Ace had a day of, I rode him Thursday and Friday, and will ride him again in the morning, popped in to Poole Market on the way back from the yard, and picked a couple of bit's and then returned home to do some crafting..... I had a play around with Photoshop, something I have never done before, and the outcome is below, what do you think ?????
I am going to use it as a gift tag...

Good Afternoon Readers,
I hope you are well...... what ya all been up to ...... I have been busy with one thing and another, and as you can see from my sticky note above, I have gone and done another challenge blog, I must be orf my head ...... but I love it, it's my way of escaping in to another world, that is full of sparkle and colour ...... my friends all ask were I get the time, what with working, riding, and walking the rabble, but I do find it, OK sometimes it can be a bit hairy, when I have to post on time, and I must admit I do leave it till the last minute sometimes, but it get's done ...... I'm also not one of those people that can sit still for long before I start to get itchy hands, so what better way to scratch them ...... anyhoo, not long before Christmas ...... I have a busy couple of weeks to the run up, wrapping pressies and delivering them, as I am working all over the Christmas so I need to get things sorted...... also have a Christmas meal with a few friends from work on the 20th December, apart from that unless something unexpected arises that's about it, till after Christmas, then it is the Stables Turkey and Tinsel Christmas party in January, what have you all got planned for the Christmas anything nice ........ below is the Birthday Card I have made my Granddaughter Chelsey , it will be her birthday on Boxing Day, and she sure does like to shop.....

 but yippee I get to have Christmas and New Year of next year ...... so all that's left for me to do before now and Christmas day is to enjoy a few planned things, the first was going to see the Lady Boyz at the Hall for Cornwall last night, with two of my Daughter's Sarah and Hazel, we had a meal before the show, and then headed on over to the concert Hall, it was packed, only a couple of seats available, I am glad we booked early to get good seats ..... and the show was amazing, they were men dresses up as ladies, and they all came from Thailand, and they were tremendous,  but so glamorous,  and the costumes were stunning , the audience had no choice but to get up and dance in the aisles, it was really a fantastic evening, will certainly  be going to see them again if they are down this way ..... but myself and Hazel did go up on stage and have our photo taken with some of them, can you tell they are men ??????
