Time for Thermals.......

Good Evening All,

Well, what a chilly old day, it is beginning to feel like winter....... even the showers we have had today have been like ice , and it actually stung my face, so I have been wrapped up in waterproofs for most of the morning, don't now about you but I don't mind the cold when it's dry, but when it's raining it just makes me want to go home and sit beside the fire with a steaming mug of soup,  which by the way is what I did when I got back from the yard this afternoon, this morning my horse went crazy when I was taking him out to the field, we have to walk down a lane to get to my field, and on both sides there are horses, well today they all just decided to start galloping around the fields, I think it was the chill in the air and plus it was windy, well Ace started to buck and canter on the spot, he was snorting like a bloody dragon and I was trying my hardest to hang on to the lead rope, but I was just getting dragged around like a rag doll, well he reared up and I had no choice but to let go, and he galloped of down the lane, the other horses were still charging around the fields, he then turned and started to gallop back towards me, and I had no choice but to stand in the middle of the lane shouting at him, in the hopes that he would stop and not trample me, only at the end of the lane is a road, and I did not want him going on to it, so I stood there with my arms outstretched in the hopes he would stop, and fortunately he did, so I grabbed hold of his lead rope again, by this time the owner of the yard Anne had heard all the shouting, and came out and helped me put him in the field, excitement over I went and had a well earned coffee, mind you I could have done with a brandy after that, On my return home I decided to do some crafting, and entered a couple of card challenges, and was very pleased with my creations, yesterday I actually made some family members there Christmas Cards, so I have been quite busy...... hopefully this evening I will make a few more Christmas Cards for friends, but before I do anything I am going to dig out my thermals ready for the coming weather.....

Best Wishes

Scrapy Sunday.....

Afternoon All,

Well what grotty weather, it's pouring with rain here in Cornwall, hope all ok were you are..... well had quite a busy day today, up the yard first thing, had a couple of coffee's with the girls before returning home, once indoors, I added some more Christmas decorations around the fireplace, two topiary trees in gold, and some gold fir cones around the bottom of the tree, made hubby a dairy free honey sponge, (hubby is a vegan) and made a dairy free Yorkshire pudding that is in the oven as we speak.... hubby done a few chores around the house, before sitting in front of the fire to play his game, so I went in to my craft room.....  I know shock horror she has actually gone in to the room, and not just stood in the doorway, but I seem to have found some energy, and I decided to source out all of my scraps, to make some simple Christmas Cards, I poured myself a rather large Cherry Brandy and got stuck in, I do not usually drink, but I thought it would help with the card making...... I found loads of off cut card and small envelopes, so I decided to make some little cards, for my friends up at the yard, so below you will see a couple of my designs, well had better go before either my energy levels drop or the cherry brandy goes, at the moment the cherry brandy is in the lead.......

Best Wishes

Mobile Christmas Tree.......

My Quote for December,

Afternoon All,

Brrrrr.......chilly today, woke up this morning to ice on my truck windows, and as usual I was not prepared, even though the weathermen have been threatening us with this weather, no de-icer, so I got an old fabric conditioner bottle, put some anti freeze in it and filled it with water, went outside and threw it over my truck windows, great result ice melting, however...... ice not only melting, but truck smelling as if it has just come out of the washing machine, there must have been a small amount of conditioner left in the bottle, oh well truck smelling lovely, should have thrown some around on the inside...... anyhow made way up to the stables, and I must admit the ice made the scenery look amazing, it was if someone had thrown a load of diamonds over the fields and the trees, they all just glistened in the moonlight, it was beautiful, once I had done my chores up the yard, I the took rabble for a run around a very cold and frosty field, Queen Smarty Pants not impressed, she looked like one of those Spanish Horses when they lift there legs high of the ground, well that was her, and the pups well, it is the first time they have come across frost being only 5 months old, and they loved it, they were rolling around in at first, then they tried to eat it...... bless, so they had a good run, and then we returned home, well the sparkling trees must have put me in the Christmas spirit, because I decided to put up the tree..... know as you all know I have been in somewhat of a dilemma as to were I was going to put said tree, because of the pups and there paws and the demolishing of things, soooo I purchased a 3ft white tree, with pink and purple baubles, very pretty,  so I put up the tree with the baubles and lights on, stood back to admire it and, crash the whole bloody lot fell down, reason, Queen Smarty Pants and the boy's had decided to have a mental breakdown and start chasing each other around the lounge like raving idiots, Smarty Pants darted behind the stand that the tree was on, and so did Chumleigh, only Chumleigh is a lot bigger than Smarty and didn't make it, so I stood in the middle of the lounge tree on the floor and baubles rolling around, dogs still going berserk, and calmly went and put the kettle on, once all had calmed down, including me, I put it all back up again, got out two beautiful Santa ornaments that my mum had given me and stood them in the fireplace, and then I lit some candles, turned of the lights and stood looking at the tree, I came over all nostalgic......and the tree, when I have to go to work, because it is only 3ft  I can carry it in to the other room and close the door, were the pups can't get at it, sorted. Will have to make a note to oneself, to remember to move it ......

Best Wishes
