Rainbow Moon.....

Good Morning All,

Well, hope you are all well.....me I am getting there, as you all know I had my beautiful girl Dazzle put to sleep on Monday, she is now in heaven with my Dad and Bilbo, but I think my Dad will be in for a run for his money, as he knows nothing about horses, and I have asked him to look after her for me, until hopefully I get up there......anyhow time is a healer so they say, and I still have to look after my boy Ace, everybody has been a rock for me over the last four day's, and I would like to thank them all, but most of all I would like to thank my Mum, for her cuddles which were much needed, and my wonderful husband, who had the hard task of seeing her on Monday, without you I would not have been able to cope, so if you read this I love you, you have been my rock to cling to, this is not going to be a long and drawn out blog today, but I would just like to tell all about when I left work at 10 on Monday night, I was leaving work, and I happened to look up at the night sky, and there was a beautiful full moon it was so bright, but all around it was the most amazing coloured rings, pinks and blues, the clouds had parted and all you could see was this amazing sight, I went back into to work to call my friend Clare to come and look, as I thought I was seeing things, when Clare saw it all she could do was just gaze at it, and said Wow how amazing, then something inside me realized that it was Dazzle letting me know she is okay..........

Less is More Sketch Challenge.........

An Empty Stable.......

Good Afternoon All,

Well  this is not a very happy posting today, I have had my world shattered..... my beloved shire horse Dazzle, has got to be put to sleep on Monday, and I am devastated........I have owned her for 7 years, and she has been a big part in my life, and today I have had to go and say goodbye to her, as I sit here talking to you all, the tears are streaming down my face, I am trying to be strong, but it is not working, I found out the news yesterday, she has had a problem with her back leg, and the vet came and looked at her, and then gave the news that she has arthritis, in her leg and that nothing could be done, and it would only get worse....so I had to make that awful decision, the one that I am sure a lot of you have had to make, so today I had to carry on up at the yard as if nothing was wrong, for her sake nobody else's, I had to keep things as normal for her as possible, the awful thing is if you were to look at her you would think she was fine, so I groomed her and cuddled her and said my goodbye's, and left knowing that was the last time I was going to see her, but my last memory of her is a happy one, she was munching on her hay, I have got to work Sunday and Monday, so my Husband Brian, is going up there, to sort things out for me, I am lucky to still have Ace my youngster. The worst thing I have yet to face is on Tuesday, when I go up the yard, as her stable will be empty.......

This is for Dazzle we will see each other again.....

Full Steam Ahead......

Good Evening All,

How has your day been going.....
I have had a good one, managed to get quite a few chores done today, including a card for the Tuesday Throwdown Halloween Challenge, not bad going for me, I tend to spend most of my time flitting from one thing to another, as my hubbie often says, if you were to just concentrate on one thing at a time, you would get things finished, easier said than done I say, but he does have a point I suppose, I am attending my first day at College tomorrow, so wish me luck...well actually wish my tutor's luck more like.....it's only for three hours, but I do get to pick up my student ID badge.....which allows me a student discount in some shops,
anyway the steamer....the one hubbie got for me, that would not look out of place on the star ship Enterprise, I think I have sussed it, all turned out well last night, I am happy to say, and on reading the instructions, I noticed it can do steamed puddings, so treacle steamed pudding sprung to mind hmmm, just what you need on a cold winters night. Well below you will find the card for today, my new Spellbinder Dies came so I had a little fun....so keep well all, and enjoy your evening, and I will speak to you soon......

Best Wishes

Back To The Here and Now.....

Good Afternoon All,

Hope all is well with you...... not very nice weather again here in Cornwall, misty and drizzle.... supposed to get colder as the weekend draws near, time to get the thermals out I think..... also the clocks go back on Saturday, an extra hour in bed hooray.... well I had the usual day today, up the yard early morning, it's so dark when you get up there, the yard is in the middle of fields, so no street lamps, so myself and Alison have got the torches that go on your head, we look like a couple of miners going around the yard.... once everything had been done, it was time to take the rabble for there morning constitutional...... the boys were up for it, but not Smarty Pants...she took one look at the drizzle and thought not b....y  likely, and legged it on to the back seat... so it was just me and the boys.... apart from the drizzle it really was quite nice, there was a slight mist over the fields, all I wanted to set the scene, was Heathcliffe or better still Mark Darcy.... running across the fields, you know what I mean girls don't you, oh well one can but dream.... know back to the here and now, we were all walking across the field the boys were jumping up on the hedges, I was away with the fairies.... when all of a sudden there was an almighty kerfuffle coming from the bushes, when out came a kestrel, it was the most beautiful bird, the markings were lovely and it was about 6ft away from me, and it just looked at us and flew up in to the trees, it was amazing, even the boys were as stunned as I was.... anyhow when I returned to the yard, who was sat in the Wendy house waiting.... Smarty Pants, she had got out of the tailgate of my truck, that I left opened, and went and sat on her cushion ( yes she has a cushion in the Wendy house that the girls up the yard had got her) and was waiting for me, she has me sussed, she knew exactly what I would be doing on my return, having a coffee..... so after  spending some more time at the yard we returned home, and I am know talking to you, well if you read my blog yesterday....  you will know hubby got me a new steamer, well it did not all go as planned..... put the potatoes in one side, the broccoli and cauliflower in one section and the carrots in the other section....put them on the time the little booklet said....and switched on, went out to check if all was okay, the veg were fine but the spuds well not so good, they were no way near done, so had to finish them of on the hob, which defeats the object really, so I will have to do some more reading of the instructions, as it was my first time of using it.....and I'm sure I  will get better won't I.....
now it is my daughter Hazel's birthday on Halloween, and below is the card I have made for her, hope she likes it........

Best Wishes

Craft Block..........

Good Afternoon Every One........

Well having a bit of a crafting block today......one minute I am full of inspiration, the next minute I am just sitting at my craft table, looking at all the bit's I have in front of me, oh well there is always tomorrow, called in to my mum's on the way back from the yard, my other Debbie Moore Cd has arrived, the Shabby Chic Christmas one, you would have thought I would of got some ideas from it, but I do not appear to be in the right frame of mind, not at the moment anyway...of course that could all change later, ( although I cannot see it happening to be honest) I did manage to do a fair bit of crafting yesterday, I am pleased to say...which is just as well, hubby purchased me a new steamer of E-Bay, it was new and packaged, evidently it was an unwanted wedding pressie, well when he took it from the packaging last night, it looks like a mini computer, it has all these blue light's, an alarm if the water level gets to low, I am supposed to be steaming the veg for tea tonight, that should be interesting, I have to work out how to use it yet, might end up with a sarnie.....I will let you know how it turns out tomorrow, so on that note I had better go and try to fathom the steamer out, so hope you all have a good evening, and I will speak to you all tomorrow......

Materials Used
White 6 by 6 Card Blank with matching envelope,
I have covered the base card with some pretty Christmas Paper I had in my stash,
The image is one of Christine Haworth's poppets that I printed on to a white card stock, then cut using a spellbinder frame die.
Green linen effect card stock has been used to layer the image on to, which has also been die cut with a spellbinder frame die.
Offset to one side I have placed a round spellbinder frame with a scalloped edge, this has been cut in a red mirri card.
The Christmas Bauble is also a spellbinder die, that has been cut in the same card stock as the frame.
