Social Visit..............

Afternoon All,

Frosty start to the morning again this morning, had to de-ice windscreen of truck, although I think it was iced up at about 10.00 last night, well only another 14 sleeps to Christmas Day.......... getting a slight tad panicky now, but I do have the weekend off work, so I will try to get myself sorted, at least my Christmas Cards are all made, so that is one less worry........ well I had the usual start to the day today, only difference being, is that my horse Ace is set to see the dentist, oh dear, Ace like me is not a great fan, when I last had to go to the dentist my mum came with me..... can you believe it I am 56 years old and I had to take my mum with me, will I ever grow up...... I sat in the waiting room and rocked back and forth like a person possessed, yet all the little children are happily sitting and laughing and playing with the toys, wonder if I was like that once....... anyhow I took the pups on a social visit this afternoon when I had finished up at the yard, we all went to Falmouth, to visit my hubby in our shop, and I had to say they were all very pleased to see each other, it's the first time they have visited the shop, and they had there picture taken, by Martin another shop owner in the little mews of shops, and I took the opportunity to do a bit more shopping, well at least I did get the rabble something for Christmas, that was about it, couldn't seem to get any inspiration, I think it was because I felt rushed, as I couldn't leave the rabble with Brian for to long, so we said our goodbye's and returned home, after I had done a few chores I decided to make hubby a syrup sponge, not the most healthiest of sponges, as once the sponge has cooked, and while it is still hot, you slice the sponge while in the tin, then drizzle Golden Syrup into the slices, and it soaks in yummie, so on that note, I am going to love and leave you, as I need a coffee, and the syrup sponge needs to be removed from the tin, and of course I will have to taste it, to make sure it is okay for human consumption.......

Less is More Challenge Week One Layer..........

Coke Sniffing Dog.........

A Very Chilly Good Morning to you All,

Well another cold day here in Cornwall, Last night when I left work I thought I would wake up to a blanket of snow, although I must say the only blanket I wanted to see this morning was my duvet...... Toby last night, well talk about snore, I thought we were being raided by a JCB Digger, it was that bad, when I told hubby this morning, he said he didn't hear anything, which is unusual, because Brian can normally hear a pin drop..... anyhow, had a bit of lie in this morning right up until 6.45, not bad eh, Brian went up the yard for me today to sort Ace out, but I must tell you about yesterday....... I am so glad the drug's squad were not about...... came home lunchtime yesterday, from work, to feed the rabble and take them for a run on the fields, everything seemed okay when I opened the front door, then they all came to greet me, and wait for it Toby looked like he had been snorting cocaine, ( by the way not that I now what a dog looks like who's been snorting drugs) he had a white powdery  substance up his nostrils and all over his nose, he looked quite cute actually, when I went in to the kitchen, I saw what the substance was....... I had left the Splender sugar on the kitchen table, and it looked like it had been snowing in my kitchen, it was everywhere, so spent most of my lunch hour hoovering, but I suppose in one way I did get my blanket of snow......... off to work soon so will speak again soon, take care, and mum if you are reading this LOVE YOU LOADS ALWAYS XXXXXXXXX see you Monday.

It's Beginning To Look A Bit Like Christmas.......

Hi All,

Weather still cold here in Cornwall, woke up this morning, with ice on my windscreen....... the rabble were not so quick to get up this morning, perhaps they knew what the weather was like outside, practically had to drag them out of the front door, even my truck was a bit reluctant to start...... I just put it down to being cold, silly me..... anyhow drove up to the yard, took rabble for a walk on the frosty fields, then rode my boy in the school, finished what I had to do, and then went to leave to come home, put the keys in the ignition, turned the key nothing...... turned it again still nothing just a clicking noise, checked to make sure I had not left the lights on, bit late now I thought to myself, but no everything was switched of, so asked Richard at the yard if he had any jump leads, my truck is automatic so I couldn't jump start it, anyhow Richard came to the rescue with some jump leads and got me started, drove home no problems, so rang hubby at work to explain what had happened, and he suggested I took over to Halfords to get it checked over, so I went to Halfords explained to the nice man what had happened, and he stuck this electrical thing on to my battery, and guess what, yep my battery was faulty, should have seen that coming, anyhow £98.00 later I returned home...... just as well I am back to work this weekend, but at least I have a shiny new Battery...... think I will drown my sorrows in a Cherry Brandy they say Brandy is good for shock don't they ??????

Don't Let the Sunshine Fool You................

Good Afternoon All,

Well hope you are wrapped up for this cold weather....... I do believe it's colder than yesterday, maybe not as windy but still as cold, yet when you look out of the window and see a blue sky and the sun shining, you could almost believe it was summer....... well today I ache, my shoulders and arms, I think it is the fallout from being dragged around like a rag doll by my deranged horse yesterday, I am glad to say when I put him out today he was a lot calmer, so my chores up at the yard today took slightly longer, and of course I had to have a few more coffees to keep me going....... once home I did a few things around the house, before settling in to my craft room, I entered a couple of more card challenges on line, and now I am talking to you...... are you all ready for Christmas yet...... me no, I have a bit more to do, and then it is the dreaded wrapping, it would not be as bad if I didn't have so much to wrap, they start of all neat and pretty, and then part way through it all goes to pot, because I have had enough, almost tempted to give presents to everyone unwrapped this year, it would save time, and also help save some trees for a start....... what happens to all that unwanted  wrapping paper...... it get's put out in black bags for the dustbin men to collect, they have a place to donate all your old Christmas Cards why not do the same for the wrapping paper, or do they and I have just not heard yet.......I do Know some people reuse there wrapping paper, I have even heard of people ironing it....... by the time my lot have ripped of the paper, the only use for it would be streamers......hmmm now there's a thought......well will have to love and leave you, as things to do, speak again soon take care.

Best Wishes
